New Year, Fresh Novelties

New Year, Fresh Novelties

To start the new year, we are inviting you to relax, pull up a cosy chair, or curl up on an ultra comfortable sofa. These January 2023 novelties are designed with relaxation in mind.

The Barrow refreshed

Inspired by 1950s design, the Barrow collection has an irresistibly vintage vibe. The reclined back and wide seat of the Barrow lounge chair beckon to sit and relax, while the metal foot base keeps the style light and subtle. Perfect for long conversations between friends, getting lost in a good book or enjoying a quiet moment, the Barrow lounger is the perfect place to settle in. It was designed with comfort in mind, in colours that evoke a feeling of security and warmth.

Once available in a soothing off white, warm copper and energizing ginger colourways, the Barrow lounge chair and Barrow pouf are now available in an earthy, peaceful pine green – a colour fresh and grounded. Pair the lounger and pouf together in pine green for a bigger green statement, or mix and match complementary colours as it suits a nature-like colourstory.

In addition to the new hue for the lounger and pouf, the Barrow is now built for two. The Barrow two-seater offers space to curl up together, with the same level of comfort you’ve come to know from the original lounge chair. The sofa was designed by Jacques Deneef, along with the rest of the collection, with the idea of minimal living.

Introducing the Mellow

Further complementing Ethnicraft's upholstery range, the Mellow sofa originates from our search for ultimate comfort, a piece that would be the central anchor in a space. Its endless variations and effortless style make it the perfect companion for any situation, whatever the context.

The goal to create the Mellow was simple: Design an incredibly comfortable sofa, an essential item that would be the backdrop of life for many years. The result is a clean and refined style with subtle seam detailing and softly rounded edges. Effortless elegance, nothing extra. As a blank canvas, style it with cushions and throws to add your personal touch.

One, two, three or more, the smart modules can be endlessly configured and combined with clips to arrange your own layout. Whether you prefer a more intimate setting or are looking for a large sofa for a crowd, the Mellow can accommodate any situation.

Extending the Bok collection

The Bok collection’s signature design is reminiscent of a goat’s slim legs and curved horns. In these eye-catching pieces, designer Alain van Havre combines sculptural elegance and contemporary crafting into a graceful and airy form.

First launched in 2016,the Bok chair rapidly became Ethnicraft’s most iconic piece.Since then, the Bok collection has expanded from the chair to the well-known dining table, and a wider range of products available in different colours and materials.

With this January launch, we are introducing the Bok bench in teak to complement the wider Bok teak offering. The beauty of teak is that it is durable and long lasting, the perfect material to allow for furniture to be loved and passed down from generation to generation. We take pride in our craftsmanship, as well as the timelessness of our designs, and teak’s durability offers more than a lifetime of use.
