Fresh novelties for spring ’23

Ethnicraft’s spring 2023 launch includes eco-friendly furniture and décor, plus line expansions and bright new lighting to enjoy.

Spring is a time of renewal, with nature awakening to the warming weather, longer daylight hours and a reprieve of winter’s chill. It’s also a time of growth and expansion, and for Ethnicraft that means new novelties to delight in.

Here’s a first look at what you can expect from this latest launch.

Earth-friendly statement pieces

We believe that durability and sustainability start with choosing the right quality material, and wood is a renewable resource that we value highly. As part of our sustainability commitment, we have launched our Spindle collection in reclaimed teak.

The Spindle bed, bedside table and bench are now offered in a sustainable material that has been salvaged from construction such as housing, public buildings, bridges and more in Indonesia. Thanks to the work of skilled artisans, this wood gets a new life as contemporary furniture. Reclaimed teak has a unique character and patina, with colour variations ranging from light to dark brown with bronze undertones. The material is particularly resistant and durable, ready to live on for many more generations.

In addition to the Spindle collection in reclaimed teak, the new Bricks wall art is designed to make the most use out of recycled wood and offcuts leftover from production. Combining sustainable practices with artwork, Bricks is truly a unique home décor collection. Individually handcrafted, no two pieces are exactly alike. Dimension, depth and intrigue are built within layers of salvaged wood.

Basking in Moonlight

New for Ethnicraft with this launch is the introduction of our first lighting design, the Moonlight, made in collaboration with Designer Corinne van Havre. Available to European customers only for now, the Moonlight encapsulates modern simplicity with its layered disc design.

An elegant and easy bronze form, this lamp will add ambience to a space. Delicately arranged layers are back-lit with an integrated LED strip, emitting a wonderful soft light from behind. The piece includes a dimmer to control the level of brightness, and it is available in a left or right curve. The lights look most striking when paired together if space allows.

New in indoor lounge

The Jack lounge chair and footstool are alluring from every angle with luxuriant shapes and curves. The Jack’s clean lines are inspired by Scandinavian modernism, reinforcing a classic, vintage feel that can be passed on to generations ahead. The cushions are available in an ivory textile, black leather or the new Terra Nubuck leather.

The award-winning Eye dining chair design has been adapted into a lounge chair, and it is striking. With sleek, angular front legs and flowing smooth connections, the Eye lounge chair is a hallmark solid wooden seating design. The curved backrest, reminiscent of a winked eye, inspired the name of the chair. Think subtle elegance with a stylish edge.

Polished Imperfect (PI) collection grows

The PI collection honours nature’s design by keeping the strength, curves and lines, as nature intended. Interesting shapes are formed in the sleek and stylish, polished imperfect, finish.

Joining the coffee table, side table, mirror, wall hangers, bookends and shelves is the highly anticipated dining table (available in six sizes), plus a console, floor mirrors, candle holders and wall coat rack. Now the wabi-sabi designs can extend to even more areas of the home with ease, creating a delicate balance of structure and organic shapes.

More Roller Max

Remarkable in its design, the Roller Max collection is distinguished with its stacked wood-stick effect in a dark brown mahogany finish. In addition to the sideboard, side tables, paper basket and coffee table, we have launched the unique dining table and pouf.

The dining table features legs in the stacked wood-stick effect, which can be turned inward or outward for a more personalised style. Turn inward for a rounded, enclosed look, or turn outward for an eye-catching silhouette.

The pouf combines mahogany with upholstery in the Rice colourway, showcasing its handcrafted details while softening the collection with a textile. The pouf provides a welcome rest for tired feet, or it can be used as additional seating when needed.
